We were lucky enough to have Grandma and Grandpa Bird come to our house for Thanksgiving. We decided that since our kids did not have school the whole week that we would take off on Monday before Thanksgiving and drive to Amarillo. That is where we met them and spent about 1 1/2 days playing. They were even good enough to decorate for Arabella's birthday!
Peter was excited to get away and to wear his new engineer t shirt.
On Tuesday, Arabella's birthday, we went to Palo Duro Canyon.
We had heard it was beautiful and it was!
Grandpa Bird made each of us a hiking stick- the kids loved putting them to use, in a variety of ways.
Love some grandparent time!
It was quite windy and sunny but we had a good time exploring and enjoying the sun!
If you are going to be in Amarillo, you really should visit Cadillac Ranch.
We loved leaving our mark.
Then we did a little shopping, ate out at Fazoli's and then went to see Coco. It was a wonderful day of family and celebrating Arabella!
