Peter has worked with a really nice engineer named Vickie who is a roof specialist engineer. Anyhow, she owns a large piece of property in East Texas and she invited us to come visit. She happened to be out of town the weekend we went but her husband, Glen, was a great host.
They have a 2 bedroom apartment in their garage and so it was not so much like camping but more like staying in a cabin.
We went fishing, shooting, and riding in off road vehicles. I also was able to go on two great runs through the trails all over their property; I wish I had pictures of some of the crazy steep hills.
The weather was so nice! I enjoyed sitting in a chair, soaking up the sun, and reading or occasionally dozing off.
Samantha decided she needed to collect all of the shells from shooting. It gave her something to focus on doing since it was a bit hard to shoot the guns, even the smaller 22 we bought the girls.
There was a lot of success in our fishing adventures.
This may not have been the most exotic Spring Break ever but we all had a good and relaxing time. Sometimes all you need is some times away from the routine and together as a family!
Arabella was the only one who did not fall asleep on the ride home.
Samantha and her chip container of shells that she is so proud of.
